  • WiseWoman, administered through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is a program dedicated to helping women understand and reduce their risk for heart disease and stroke. The program offers heart health screenings, healthy lifestyle programs, and health coaching at no cost to women across Louisiana. As part of the program’s outreach efforts, I was tasked with creating billboards, a website, flyers, and banners to promote attendance at WiseWoman’s wellness expos and raise awareness about heart disease prevention among women.

  • WiseWoman is a public health program aimed at addressing the health risks posed by heart disease and stroke among women in the United States. The program targets women of all ages, backgrounds, and socioeconomic statuses, with a focus on providing accessible and comprehensive services to those at risk. Through heart health screenings and lifestyle interventions, WiseWoman aims to empower women to make informed choices and adopt heart-healthy behaviors to reduce their risk of cardiovascular diseases.

  • The primary challenge was to create visually compelling and informative materials that would effectively communicate the importance of heart disease prevention and encourage women to participate in WiseWoman’s wellness expos.

  • Visual Impact: The billboards, website, flyers, and banners were designed with vibrant colors, bold typography, and eye-catching graphics to grab attention and engage the audience. High-quality imagery featuring diverse women of different ages and backgrounds was used to reflect the program’s inclusive nature and resonate with the target demographic.

Call to Action: Each piece of collateral included a clear call to action encouraging women to attend WiseWoman’s wellness expos and take advantage of the program’s heart health screenings and support services. Contact information and details about event locations and dates were prominently displayed to facilitate participation.

Accessibility and Usability: The website was designed with user-friendly navigation, responsive layouts, and accessible content to ensure that women of all backgrounds could easily access information about WiseWoman and its services. Flyers and banners were designed with clear layouts and legible text to facilitate comprehension and engagement.
